1)
Value Added Processes.
PDQ provides a wide variety of value added processes including:
Heat Treat, Debur, Zinc Plating, Chrome Plating, Nylon, PVC Dipping,
E-coat, Welding, Staking, Spinning, and Automated Assembly. For the processes not completed in-house, PDQ has partnered with the
industries best subcontractors. These subcontractors are held to the same standards that our customers expect. No exceptions! Our frequent
on-site audits and communication reinforce our requirements and our customer’s expectations.
2) Production Metal Stamping.
PDQ Tool
& Stamping Co. operates 12 presses ranging from 30 ton Bliss OBI to 300
Ton Minster HeviStamper. Press bed size range from 28” x 18” to 84” x 48”. Press stroke range from 2” to 8”. Support equipment include Minster and Littell Servo Feeds, 72” coil reels, 7 roll Powered Straighteners,
Tonnage Monitors, and Die Protection via Wintress Smartpacs.
Our Quick Die Change Program is based upon Mr. Shingo’s principles of SMED (Single-Minute Exchange of Die). Using SMED and our Lean Scheduling Program ensures that your job is run efficiently and effectively, minimizing waste and maximizing value. We specialize in
various grades of material from .024” to .135” including 1055, 4130, HSLA, 304 ½ hard S.S., and draw quality steels. Our highly developed Process Monitor and Control Log enable press operators to monitor major, critical, and SPC dimensions at the press.
3) Precision Progressive Dies for Precision
Metal Stampings.
With our vast experience
in die design, die building, and die maintenance we excel when working with complex forms and bends, drawn parts, extrusions, and coined areas. Our progressive dies are designed to utilize specialized sensors (proximity, mechanical, optical, and laser) to aid in complex timing issues, slug detection, burr detection, stock detection, part ejection, thread verification, punch breakage, stock thickness, and more. Every progressive die has a customized Maintenance Schedule that utilizes SPC feedback data ensuring that all dimensions are in tolerance from maintenance to production.
PDQ accepts the following CAD file types: SolidWorks,
SolidEdge, Parasolid, Step, Catia, Pro/E, UG, IGES, AutoCAD.
4) Packaging and Labeling of Customer Product.
PDQ can tackle your most demanding packaging schemes. Our Packaging Department will analyze and develop a packaging scheme tailored to your needs. Examples of developed Packaging Scheme are typically based on size and weight of product, product finish, end user, final destination (distance), storage location at customer, container requirements, and even weather patterns. All product containers receive
AIAG certified bar code labels.
Our goal is to maximize product count versus footprint area, maintain product integrity during transit, and conform to all customer specified requirements.
