QUALITY
PDQ Tool & Stamping Co. is
a TS-16949 certified manufacturer. Our Mission Statement
dictates that we "Comply with the requirements and continuously
improve the effectiveness of our Quality System". As evidence to our
commitment, our recent purchase of a Mitutoyo Quick Vision System
and computer controlled Tensile machine compliments our existing equipment further enhancing our Mission Statement.
PROCESS INSPECTION
All levels of manufacturing are verified and recorded via the Process Monitor and Control Log. This log is created for each part by utilizing APQP data, PMFEA data, customer-supplied data including: major, minor, critical, KPC, SPC, and geometric tolerance dimensions. Each attribute or dimension on the Process Monitor and Control Log has a specific inspection frequency to ensure the part conforms to the customers requirements. All but the most complex dimensions are completed at the machine work cell using calibrated gauges, fixtures and surface plates.
INCOMING AND FINAL INSPECTION
Every step of the manufacturing process is fully documented and traceable. Detailed procedures exist for all tasks at PDQ. For instance, Receiving Inspection procedure QT-RIAOP, identifies all actions necessary for the Quality Technician to receive material into our facility and maintain Quality System integrity. This procedure includes, at minimum, the verification and documentation of product number, tracking code number, and the last process completed. After inspection the product is
"tagged"' using a Material Control Tag 409-11 that identifies the status of material. This tag enhances lot traceability and facilitates in proper identification of product by personnel. Our detailed and precise work procedures compliment our training programs and provide the foundation for a robust Quality System.
